Fun with Numbers

While we were in Half Moon Bay for Christmas, Sven learned how to count to 100. He had to learn a few rules, e.g. he counted twenty-nine, twenty-ten, twenty-eleven, twenty-twelve. So, we taught him thirty. Then he got to thirty-nine, thirty-ten. So, we told him about forty, fifty, ... Sven managed to get all the way to ninety-nine, then he said ten-ty!

Yesterday morning, I couldn't read the kitchen clock, so I asked Sven to tell me what time it was. He said, how do I do that? I told him to look at the clock in the microwave and he said "its one thousand seven". Sure enough, it was 10:07.
