Yellow Skin

A few days ago, Sven was pretending to be an alien . He was wearing a yellow t-shirt, so he told me he had yellow skin, and I had black and grey stripped skin.

Then Sven went down into the basement and told Erik "I have yellow skin!" Erik first thought that Sven was referring to his Asian-tinted skin, and had somehow picked up the term "yellow" for skin color.

But after I explained the alien skin thing, Erik ruefully said, "that's what happens when you jump to conclusions." Having a young child puts a fresh perspective on things sometimes.
